What can make you dance?

Are there classic Rock songs that make you tap your foot, sway in your seat, get up and move or sing at the top of your lungs? If so, I'd really like to know what they are. One of the groups I play with is looking to expand the set list. We'd really love to get some more tunes that move the bodies to the dance floor!
So here's your chance to have some input. Tell us the tunes that you just can't, no matter how hard you try, you just can't resist!

Blues jammin'

Every Thursday night at 3rd Street Bar in downtown Reno, they host an open Blues jam. I've invited a Jim and Deborah to join me tomorrow night. Hopefully they'll be able to record some of my set for a first music posting here and on My Space and/or Facebook. I'm hoping that the kid that drummed for us is there again. He was new and did a good job, so I'd like to encourage him to come and play more often.
Stay tuned!

Good luck, Kevin! You'll be missed.

Josh's poetry!

OMG!!! It's finally out! Joshua Peer's book of poetry has finally been published by Publish America.

I immediately bought four copies: 1 for each of the girls; one for Josh (since the publisher doesn't give the author a free copy); and one for me, of course!

If you've never had the pleasure of reading truly original works, with real depth and feeling, then you owe it to yourself to read this book. Josh is capable of reaching into your soul and plucking out feelings and sensitivities that you don't remember having. These stirings of the heart are common to all of human experience, but most of us suppress or ignore them in our daily lives. Josh's writings bring these gently to the surface for us to touch and wonder at; even if only for a moment. But in that moment we all share a chord in the music of life!
